Part of my coaching experience in the 1990’s when they started young on the Tour, in 2009; they are still at the top the game of tennis in doubles.

How did I help them once?

In Paris Bercy tournament, once, a few ago, I asked Leander Paes to know in which area did I help him the most–- I recall his answer, “well, we know how to play, hitting forehands and backhands, this was not the main part of your coaching for me. What was the most essential for me was your input in our belief. You show us the direction, what seems so far and impossible, you help us to see that it was reachable – and to make our dream  full part in our daily work,like a constant guideline present. Dream goal was actually possible to reach – you give us desire to succeed and to give 100% faith in work and dedication to the game. We kept loving the game and follow the path to achieve our goals…”

 

Well guys, you did – and I feel lucky today to have been once a small starting point for you, if you think so. Because he really enjoy working with you, and now, I feel even more when I see you becoming such nice human being and mature players finishing your great carrier – keep it a few years more …if your wife and kids let you.
